The Outback Raceway held its annual Turkey Shootout this past weekend. With not only bragging rights on the line but good ‘ol fashion Thanks Giving staple food on the line! 3rd place was getting a Pumpkin pie, 2nd an Apple Pie, and 1st place a nice Turkey. Over 120 entries again this year!
Tekin powered Jason “Mo” Moberly simply dominated the 2wd Mod SC class this year. Taking all 3 rounds of qualifying giving him P1 for the A-amin. In the main Jason was simply on another level with his Tekin RSX Gen2 Redline 8.5 powered TLR 22 SCT 2.0. Jason lapped up to 2nd place by the end of the main. 2nd place was Tekin powered Terry Whickum, 3rd Kyle Layton.
4wd SC was stacked with Tekin horsepower. Ryan Lutz would take the overall Tq positing going into the A-main. With the track conditions being a bit cooler this round, the high powered trucks would suffer from a bit of inconsistency in certain sections making for a win to come from the smart drivers. Lutz would take the win followed by a great battle between Randy Pike and Jeff Lorenzo. All 3 drivers would run the award winning Tekin Rx8 Gen2 esc and a Pro4 motor.
2wd Mod Buggy would also have Tekin on the podium. Justin Moon would battle it out hard with Tekin teammate Phil Atondo taking P2.
Phil Atondo would put his Tekin powered TLR 22-4 on the box running a Tekin RSX and Redline Gen2 7.5 taking 3rd.
Drew Lorenzo would take the win running the E-buggy Lite division using the award winning Tekin Rx8 Gen2 esc and Pro4 HD motor combination.
Jeff Lorenzo would take the 2wd Stock Stadium truck running a Tekin RS Gen2 and Redline 17.5 Gen2 motor.
Jeff Lorenzo and Terry Whickum would go 2-3 in the Stock 2wd SC truck class running Tekin.
