CHRIS COOPER'S OVAL RESULTS

"I won the 2008 Collins Creek track championship (a dirt oval) in McMinnville, TN by winning every race. I also won 3 out of the 4 races I ran at Eastbrook Speedway (Dirt oval) in Winchester, TN. All was using the RS with 10.5 motor. I also won and set the track record at HQMT In Huntsville, AL. I was using the RS and 17.5 motor. All I can say about the new 189 Software is, WOW!!!!" - Chris Cooper

CLEVELAND INDOOR CHAMPIONSHPS

Donny Lia TQ's and Wins 12th scale stock (17.5 brushless) with the RS esc!
A message from Donny, "Just want to say thanks to Tekin for providing me awesome speedos. I used an RS to win 1/12th stock(Cleveland Indoor Champs) and an RS Pro in my World GT car. Missed TQ by .1 and had the fastest single lap of the event. I just couldn't really get the clean run needed to win. The speedos performed flawlessly. That is now the 2nd major win in 17.5 for the RS (Vegas and Cleveland) against a larger field of other brands. I think it goes without saying that these speedo's get the job done in a class where H.P. is crucial." -- visit Donny's official site

HALLOWEEN CLASSIC

After a 14 month hiatus, Tyler Gerber comes back to 12th Scale and takes the win! There were 6 heats of 1/12 stock guys at this years Holloween Classic at "The Gate". 17 Year old, Tyler Gerber was racing for his father, Wayne Gerber who was unable to attend this years race do to a scheduled surgery. Tyler hasn't driven a 1/12 scale car in over 14 months and didn't know what to expect!! During Friday's practice Tyler was in the top 5 in lap times all day. When Saturday rolled around and Tyler got his first qualifier done he was sitting TQ!! By the end of qualifying Tyler ended up qualifting 2nd. just 0.7 seconds off of TQ. In the main Tyler was nose to tail with the leader and forced him into an error going wide, went under him, and never looked back!! Tyler's A-main win was the fastest 1/12 stock run of the weekend. During qualifying he also turned the only sub 10.6 second lap time with a 10.591!! Tyler used the Tekin RS Pro, Redline 17.5 motor, BC112 charger, Battery Dr 8.0 tray, and Tekin silicone wire.

With over 230 entires, it was no easy task making the A-Main at this years Halloween Classic at The Gate in Cleveland, OH. Mike Collins drove his Penguin chassis TA05 with the RS Pro and Redline 13.5 motor from the 9th Qual spot to a 5th place finish in the 13.5 Rubber TC A-Main. Mike was very pleased with his performance, "I finished about 3/4 lap down from Mike Haynes, who won the class as he won it in Vegas at the IIC race."

Mike also went on to grab a podium spot in the Vintage Trans-Am class Qualifying 2nd and taking 2nd place. He used his "vintage" Penguin chassis TC3 with the RS Pro and Redline 17.5. "This is a very fun class to run... I was real surprised with the level of competition in this class. Mike Haynes ended up winning it, but placing second out of 30+ cars with a TC3 was pretty cool. Haynes had me down by about a lap and I had third place down by about half-lap."

REGION 12 ASPHALT CHAMPIONSHIPS

"Rocket Starts"at the Region 12 Asphalt Championships:

On October 24 and 25th 2008, at Ripon R/C Speedway in Ripon, CA,Team Driver, Jason Moberly ran 13.5 & 10.5 sedan classes. Jason qualified 2nd in 13.5 and 4th in 10.5. "I had rocket starts with the RS Pro which allowed me to try and improve my position right away." In 10.5 Jason moved up to 2nd from 4th in the first 3 laps and was all over the leader looking for a way around. Trying everything he could, Jason ended up clipping a curb which dropped him back a ways but still in second place. Jason ended up finishing about 1 second behind the leader for 2nd place. In 13.5 he had another rocket start from 2nd qualifying spot and was right on the bumper of the leader. About 1 minute in the race, the leader made a small mistake in front of Jason. He got the worst end of it and had to be marshaled. That put him almost 1/2 a lap back and in 4th place but was able to get back up to 3rd and hang on for the finish.
CAPITOL CITY CLASSIC

Randy Pike TQ's Mod Truck at the 8th Annual Capital City Classic:

8th annual Capital City Classic at the Capital R/C Center in Sacramento California. The most popular class was 4wd mod buggy with 35+ entries. Followed up by Pro Stock buggy(13.5) with 25+ entries. Randy entered all 3 mod classes(2wd, 4wd and truck). He Tq'd mod truck and finished 4th. Randy had too much horsepower while running the Tekin Redline 10.5 and had a hard time finding traction! Randy's 2wd mod buggy was ran using a Tekin Redline 13.5 and the new 13mm Rotor. He qualified 3rd and finished 3rd. 4wd Mod buggy Randy placed 7th on the grid and finished in the same position. There were three different A main winners in 4wd mod and Randy placed as high as 3rd in one of them. "The track was fun and technical at the same time. I was the only driver quading the quad section that most were either double doubling or tripple singling"

Here are my car setups:
2wd Mod Buggy: 13.5 Redline, RS, Tekin 3400 Powercell Lipo.
4wd Mod Buggy: 6.5 Redline, RS Pro
Mod Truck: 10.5 Redline, RS, Tekin 3400 Powercell Lipo.

ROAR Region 5 OFF ROAD NATIONALS

John LoGiudice runs a Redline 10.5 in a feild of 8.5 and 7.5 Motors

The ROAR Region 5 race was the maiden race for John LoGiudice using the RS esc.  John's competition were using 7.5 and 8.5 Brushless Motors from other manufacturers, But John had more than enough speed with Tekin's Redline 10.5 and RS.  John had his competition not believing that was all the motor he was running.  John was in 2nd over all after the second qualifier and finished 1st in the 3rd round feeling he had the car to beat in the main.  Unfortunately John had a bad start in the first corner and wasn't quite able to make it up to gain the lead.  John Qualified 2nd for the main and finished 3rd.

"...[RS Pro] has the best power and feel compared to any other speedo on the market" The ROAR region 5 Off-Road Regionals were highly competitive and Damon Converse signed up for the most popular and highly contested class there, 4wd mod buggy. After the first round Damon was Qualified in 5th for the A-Main. As the Qualifying day went on, the track slowed down and with it the race pace. "The sun was down by the time the last race--mod 4wd A-main--was run and with my Tekin RS pro power with 6.5 Redline motor I had a great hole shot and passed a couple buggies before the first corner, I was spun around when we all put on the brakes as the front 3 buggies had checked up and this put me back in 9th place. I was able to run a couple buggies back down and pass them for 7th position. I was gaining but did not have enough time to advance any further. I have been running the RS Pro in my 4wd buggy since they first came out and I wouldnt use any other speedo, it has the best power and feel compared to any speedo on the market." -Damon

Fellow Tekin driver, Jimmy Flack qualified for the A-Main as well, and finished 7th.

After taking the win at the first round with the R1 Pro Kevin TQ'd and won first time out with the new RS Pro in his 4wd Aero A-1.
