Bryan Duncan's Story:
We all go race and want things to work out and have a successful event. We try to win, TQ and maybe be the next Brian Kinwald. But what happens when all the "what ifs" happen at the same time?  Ask Team driver Bryan Duncan. . .

You always worry about the airline losing your luggage and have to race all week in the same pair of underwear or not having a toothbrush. But what happens when you ship all of your race gear and it goes missing!? Nothing like showing up at the race with all your clothes and no toys. After flying in from Fl that is what happened to Bryan but to his credit and to what we all have know for a long time about this industry and some of the people in it things do work out. Bryan didn’t go off the edge and embarrass himself. He was calm and was just hoping things would work out and the big FedEx truck would pull up anytime. As word spread throughout the pits about what happened it seemed like everyone chipped in and Bryan was able to race! Special thanks goes out to guys like Frank Root, Kyle Boice and Travis Amezcua.

With Travis's 2wd being ready to go Bryan opted to run it for the event. Bryan was able to get a truck and 4wd buggy from Aaron at R/C Car Magazine and Charles Charron. Bryan’s supporter and the person who made it possible for him to attend this event Jimmy Babcock; supplied Bryan with equipment to work on his borrowed cars and run them for the weekend

With everything going on qualifying didn't go to well on the first day. On Saturday things were much better, Bryan started to get the feel of things and become more organized. Bryan got some good runs in with the truck and buggy but had some hardships in 4wd. At the end of qualifying Bryan was in the B mains for stock buggy, 19t/stock truck, the C main for 19t buggy, and the D main for 19t 4wd. In the mains things were a lot better and Bryan was wishing he had his own stuff as he felt he could have gotten the speed that he needed. At least he would have known his own equipment and what to do to make it work better.

All in all with everything that went on it was a disappointment but it was also a great learning experience. Next stop Nationals now Bryan just has to figure out a way to get his stuff there the same time he gets there. A happy ending Bryan’s equipment finally came home to him 2 weeks late but he has everything again.

We want to thank Jiimmy, Frank Root, Kyle Boice and Travis Amezcua for your help. Bryan also wants to thank Charles for all his help as well.
